Nothing to say..

Honestly, I have nothing to write about. But, it has been a few days and I feel I need to fulfill my duty.. Oh, there is something. I was trying to clean out some of my stuff in storage and consolidate some stuff. You would be amazed what you find in storage, that you have forgotten completely about. I found a book that my roommates and I used in college. Hannah, Deborah and I all had one our sophomore year. They sat on Hannah's trunk (or anywhere else they happen to be), and our friends wrote in the whenever they wanted to. It really was a great idea - especially since we were not able to read them until the end of the year. I think that was the best - at the end of the school year, we read our books and had an abundance of laughs about what people write about us and what we all did. I found that while I was threading through my stuff and read it again. Its stuff like that, that everybody should have. I remember so much from that year that I had completely forgot about. It was great to be reminded.

Introducing, as of Wednesday, Eli

Congratulations to Rachel, the social worker at my school. We have been waiting for her to have this baby since we first found out. It was great watching her get bigger and bigger during the school year, and then come back from summer break and see her just huge. Now, she is off for 12 weeks, so we wont see her until after Christmas. Except, of course, for when she brings in the baby for us all to see. Rachel had a boy - Eli. I love the name. Just over 7 pounds, over 21 inches, and born Wednesday night. Both parents are gorgeous - which means this baby is going to grow up to be one of those insanely pretty boys....

BALLGAME!!

Last night, Dave, his mom and I went to the Brewers game at Miller Park. It was a beautiful night and an excellent game. The best inning, I would have to say, was the 5th. The Giants pitcher ended up walking quite a few Brewers in a row, which involved walking in 2 runs. We ended up winning the game 9-4. It was an extremely good time. **side note, if you live in the milwaukee area - you can get 6 burgers for $5.00 at George Webbs until midnight tonight, because the Brewers scored 5 or more runs.**

Unfortunately, I am still sick - though nowhere near what I was feeling on Monday and Tuesday. Now, Im just congested and have a very raspy voice - which the students made fun of all day. I am going to go home tonight, stop and get Lost - Season 2, disc 4 from the video store and relax. Dave plays hockey tonight at 10:00 in his league, and I will probably venture out to see that as well.

Because of the rain, and my lack of complete wellness, I think the camping trip for this weekend has been cancelled - unfortunately. I was really looking forward to it, but I agree that the rain and the cold is probably not a good thing for me right now.

At school, I had the first Student Council meeting of the year with the students. I had around 30 show up - which is amazing. I am so proud of the students - they are really stepping up this year. We are going to have a good campaign 2 weeks while they run for student council president and they have some amazing ideas for activities and fundraisers. I am looking forward to seeing what this group is able to accomplish this year!

Why does it always happen?

Why is it that I always get sick when the students do... something goes around - it hits the students and then moves on to me.. Once, I would like to skip the sick cycle. My goal, is to not let it get past today.. I am going to get rid of it by tomorrow..

Last night - short recap...

This is a picture of the boy and I from last night. We both had a great time....

The Dave Matthews concert was amazing.
I am so glad that I went. The music was amazing, and Dave Matthews is amazing on stage. Our seats were incredible - we were probably about 30 feet from Dave on stage.. It took us about 3 hours to get there with traffic and everything.. and about 3 to get home. It took forever to get out of the parking lot!

George Clinton and P-Funk opened.. Let me say one thing about them - eclectic (sp?). Yeah, they were different. But definately fun to watch!

Dave Matthews Band

I forgot the 1 week reminder for today.

In 1 week - Dave and I are going to go and see The Dave Matthews Band in Tinley Park, Illinois. I am very excited. I have never seen Dave live in concert, but have recently started listening to his music, and do really like it. Plus, we have kick ass seats. We are in the section right in front of the stage in the 3rd row. Yes folks, we will be 3 rows from Dave Matthews himself. I am really excited...

ChickLit

I have become one of those females that has fallen victim to ChickLit. Never, ever, would I have thought it would have ever happened. But, I read one - probably about 6 months back... and - progressively i have been reading more and more. I just finished one that took me just 2 1/2 days to read. 350+ pages in under 3 days. That is just insane. The book that I am reading now, i have been at for 3 days - its not quite the fast read, but still - I should be done with it in probably 3 more. Which I think is pretty good, because I dont have near the time to read anymore.
For those that do not know what ChickLit is - let me clarify one thing. It is NOT the trashy romance novels that people talk about. They are normally kind of mystery novels that have a little romancce involved - none of the page after page of sex descriptions.. That kind of stuff, you will NEVER catch me reading.

Hello, my name is Sarah - and I am a ChickLit addict.

3 days closer to summer vacation!!

Thats right everybody - I am 3 days closer to summer vacation 2007. And, no - there arent any plans for it yet.

In all reality, the 1st 3 days have been pretty good (i still have one class left today). My 3rd hour is going to be a little challenge. There is a lot of attitude and quite a few that are talkers. But, I like my first hour. They also have attitude, but at least they are fun about it. My 5th hour is actually pretty good too - a lot of my 5th hour are students that ive already had, since it is the 2nd part of the classes that I teach.

Last night my roommate, Meghan, and I went for a walk on a trail that goes all the way around Milwaukee. We, by no means, made it all the way around. Maybe 1/10 of the way around, but probably not even that far. Milwaukee is a big city to have a trail go all the way around. But, we took Zoey and Kismet and did our little walk. We walked in one direction for 45-50 minutes and then had to walk back to the car. Overall, it was a really good walk - lasted just over 90 minutes. We are going to try to walk the entire thing, always drive to where we turned around the time before, and start from there. It should be interesting. I have been walking with Meghan a good 4-5 times a week lately, and we normally walk around 90 minutes. And, it has been so nice out lately, that they have been welcome walks.

Enough blabbering.. i have stuff to do for my next class!!
