Nothing to Say...

I have absolutely nothing to say today. But, its been a while since my last post so I thought that I should at least write about what is not going on.

Hum.. well, what is new? I went shopping the other day and bought Flannel Sheets and a Humidifier. All I could think about in the store is when I was in college and we got a humidifier. My roommate's (Deborah) mom told us that we would have dirt running down our walls. Im not real sure why she thought that. I would think you would have to have it turned really high for that to happen. Who knows.. but, so far so good - no dirt.. lol...

OH! Zoey lost her first tooth. She is 5 months. A few nights ago, she was chewing like she had a piece of hair stuck in the mouth.. and all of a sudden she spit something on the floor. I was like "great, what was she eating". Upon inspection, it turned out to be her first tooth. A little worries that it may have been too soon, but after a phone call... Decided it was okay.. fell out on its own, not because of random (not so good) reasons... I will have to post another picture of Zoey soon. She has gotten soooo big..

Thats about all.. I have to work the 2nd job tonight, which means I will be dead tired tomorrow.. And, Im not looking forward to that all. . Have a good afternoon/night everybody I will catch up to you later!!

All this for Bon Jovi??

Well, I do need to see Bon Jovi again when he comes to Milwaukee in Januaray.. and we all know that I need to get these tickets.. But, I tell you.. the complication I had were insane!! Of course I know that it will be worth all the trouble. .But, man.. In order to get 4 tickets, I had to do everything but jump through fire hoops.. And, I couldn't even get 4 together... I originally did, 4 times, but when it came time to submit order - my computer decided to be tempermental and not work.. EVERY TIME!! So, now, I have 4 tickets.. 2 groups of 2. I have 2 in section 214 and 2 in section 9 (on the floor). I think I have decided to let Hannah and Kendra have the floor seats and Im going to take section 214.. I am just afraid, seeing that I am short, that some tall dude will be right in front of me if I take the floor seats.. And then, I wont be able to see anything. .At least 214 is slanted seats, so i should be able to see.. Yay..

Bon Jovi Review

Okay, I dont ever know where to start. Nothing I say can even compare to how amazing the show is. First of all - Jon Bon Jovi is still hot at 43 years old. Lets just make that clear. The show lasted a little over 2 hours. It was all hits with 5 or 6 of the new songs from "have a nice day" thrown in (mostly in the beginning).. The opening act was some local band from madison.. They were okay, but the lead singer's shirt was too small and it drove me crazy - its probably style, but still... Bon Jovi still puts on such an 80's show.. Jumping and dancing.. getting the crowd into it. I think the audience at a bon jovi concert is amazing too, because everybody goes crazy... everybody gets into it. At one point Bon Jovi got pulled into the fan pen on the side of the stage. (for those of you who have never seen Bon Jovi, they put these areas on the stage on both sides.. and then before the show the crew bands people in the crowd to go into the pens. every 3 songs or so, they fans up there change).. Jon Bon Jovi leaned into it kinda, and they completely pulled him into it. He burst out laughing, security had to pull him out because he couldnt free himself. and then, he was laughing so hard he had to stop singing.. lol. The show is just so high energy... Theres not a down moment. Normally, at concerts, there is at least 1 point where the crowd sits down for at least one song. Not here. We stood the entire time.. It ROCKED.. I am hoping to see Bon Jovi again in january. i have to see abuot tickets. i will know tomorrow!! But, Im excited!!

ONLY 2 MORE DAYS UNTIL......

That's right ladies and gentlemen.. Only 2 more days and I will once again bask in the glory of BON JOVI!!!

I know its exciting and you can barely hold in your excitement from knowing that Im going.. but, do your best to not let it get out of control....

And might I add: Jon Bon Jovi is still really sexy...

This is how I feel...

Really, I am.. its day 2 of the quarter and Im already dreading my 3rd hour class.. The combination of students is.. well.. for lack of better words - dreadful. I have 3 girls, who all have attitudes and are friends. That combination makes for a lot of talking, upbragging and inappropriate language. Today, I had to kick 2 of the girls out. they were talking about kicking some girls ass, and wouldnt stop talking it up.

Some days I wonder if I can keep doing this.. .I am so drained today... Keeping these guys on track today has just been a chore - it seems like the whole day has been focused on crap that is going on outside of school - I have a feeling that something is going to be going down very soon around here. I am happy to say though that it is not only my class - I have been listening on the walkie and all teachers are having to send out students to student services. It must be that time of the year.. Well, I better go.. i have students again in 10 min.. last class of the day.. I guess I will see how this one goes....

Slow Computers..

I have decided that I hate talking with people on line who have slow internet connections or slow computers. I do not have the patience to wait for it all.. I guess it is the consequence of quick, quick, quick.. Oh well... Thats my rant for the day...

Oh yeah, quarter 2 started today with my new group of students.. (new for the most part - I do have some of the same students). I have some doosies, and some that will prove to be a challenge and with the combinations of some of the students I have my work cut out for me this quarter.. But, Im sure I will love it.. NO matter how tough it gets - I always do..

I realized today that....

I will miss these kids.. I know its only the end of the 1st quarter, but some of these students I will not have next week, and may not have until next year again. That made me think today about the past 9 weeks.... Some students stand out in my head. They are not the best students or the most popular or my favorite; they are just students that made me smile or made me laugh while I was trying to teach them something....

Michael: wrote every assignment in blue or red crayola marker
Caleb: hit me with a book, then asked me for a piece of candy. My response was "you just fucking hit me with a book, Im not giving you anything!" (yes, I really did swear)
Katie: wrote "I love Daymeon" on everything imaginable in class all quarter - they broke up 4 days ago.
Colby: comes to class every day with 10 min to go
Theresa: 2 weeks shy of her due date (shes 9 months pregnant) and always has a kick ass attitude.
Rigoberto: biggest free loader - but smart as ever
Jasmine: spitfire - comment for everything and a different color hair every week.
Marcellous: my humor for the day - and he doesnt dance, he boogies....
Delida/Elijah: insperable pair - between the two, one was always asking for a tampon
Tanishia: the girl could eat for 2 hours and still be hungry
Xzavier: the teddy bear of the class
Lucas: newly transformed Muslin and very outspoken about it.
Tamara: Christian. loves to preach about it to others but does not always practice what she preaches.
Alvina: 16 and pregnant with baby #2
Devonia: Personality if I have ever seen it. About as outspoken as they come.
Byron: about 4'11", and talks bigger than he will ever be.
Laura: missed first 3.5 weeks of school and is now carrying a B.
Joyce: while doing a geometry assignment, made a replica of me using toothpicks and marshmallows.
Steve: 1 of 14 children under the age of 25. Passes without doing anything, and wanders the hall endlessly.
Yolanda: Random spanish to english translater for Carla when she is talking with me and throws in a spanish word but cannot translate it into english by herself.
