Kiaya - Formally known as Pumpkin

Last night we finally picked up our first foster dog. We were told that she was a 1 year old chihuahua and that her name was Pumpkin (what a dumb dog name). In a matter of 5 minutes, Meghan and I came to the conclusion that she must have been a stray because she has no reaction to the name Pumpkin whatsoever. Our guess - she was a stray, brought in around fall so got dumped with the name pumpkin. (by the way she doesnt look much like a chihuahua). Meghan and I both deciding we hate the name Pumpking, decided that we could change it. We think she looks like a coyote, so we renamed her Kiaya - which I must tell you, after only a few hours is responding to already. I think that means she likes it. Overall, she is a really good dog. She plays with Zoey and Kismet really well. She is, for the most part, potty trained - I think she had one accident yesterday. Plus, her mange is just around her eyes a little bit. When she goes back to the humane society in 3-4 weeks (probably) she will have no problem finding a home of her own!
